The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness will not be offered through the usual distribution channels. The phone will be offered through outlets such as Selfridges and other “design museum shops” when it is released in the UK this November. Cathy Davies, Sony Ericsson’s marketing director, said that the Pureness will be positioned more as an “iconic niche product, not mass-market.” The Pureness is priced at £530 each or around $870.
Here is a leaked video of the upcoming Nokia Erdos 8800, which is a Symbian S60-powered handset made from a single piece of stainless steal with a piece of glass covering the display. Measuring 116.9mm x 50.3mm x 15mm, the phone also has a rising keypad which matches the display’s level when you slide it open. Additional features include a 2.4-inch OLED display with 320 x 240 pixels and 16-million colors, Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band WCDMA connectivity, Wi-Fi, a-GPS, Stereo Bluetooth, a 5MP Carl Zeiss camera with autofocus, dual LED flash and video recording, and an 8GB of internal memory.
