Philips D900 Smartphone Announced In China

Philips has recently announced a new smartphone for the Chinese market. Known as the D900, the handset features a 2.8-inch 320 x 240 TFT touchscreen display, a 2MP camera, a microSD card slot (2GB card included), GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, a USB 1.1 interface, Windows Mobile OS and supports CDMA2000 1x EV-DO connectivity. The D900 will be distributed to China Telecom very soon, however, there’s no word on pricing yet

Gigabyte GSmart G1305 Codfish And GSmart S1205 Cougar

Gigabyte will launch two new smartphones in Ukraine, one running on Android 1.6 and another one running on Windows Mobile 6.5. Measuring 116mm x 56.8mm x 12.4 mm, the Android-powered Gigabyte GSmart G1305 Codfish features Quad-band GSM connectivity, tri-band HSDPA connectivity (900 / 1900 / 2100 MHz), WiFi, GPS, a 3.2-inch HVGA display, a 256MB of RAM and a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor. Meanwhile, the Windows Mobile 6.5-powered Gigabyte GSmart S1205 Cougar is a dual SIM smartphone that features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, Quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE connectivity, WiFi, GPS, a 128MB of RAM, and a 416MHz processor.

Motorola has introduced their latest touchscreen phone at this year’s Mobile World Congress called the Motorola QUENCH (aka CLIQ XT in the US). The handset sports a 3.1-inch 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, a 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, a full virtual QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), an electronic compass, A-GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack and runs on Android 1.5 OS with supports for Google services and MOTOBLUR features. The Motorola QUENCH will be available in multiple regions around the globe beginning in Q1 2010, while in the US, it will be available starting next month exclusively through T-Mobile USA.
