Financial Times is on the iPhone, too

Financial Times iPhone app

Financial Times is making its famous newspaper available to the iPhone users. Founded in 1888, the company is as fresh as ever, embracing new technologies (almost) as soon as they appear. Now it’s iPhone time, and FT is here with a dedicated app.

To be fair, they’re kinda late behind The Wall Street Journal, but I’m sure hard-core FT fans (if there are such people) will switch back to the FT now that it’s in the AppStore.

The application features a world map view of the global markets, in-depth looks at stocks with charts and detailed information for individual companies.

Although it’s free, the app comes with some restrictions. First-time users can only read 3 free articles per month and access the markets data sections and currency converter. Registered users, on the other hand, can view 10 free articles per month and access their FT.com portfolio. Finally, standard and premium subscribers have unlimited access to news and other stuff, plus there’s the additional bonus of access to Lex content for premium users…

Enough said. AppStore link is here, where you’ll get more details, screenshots and so on.

Christie’s goes iPhone

It’s time for some old-school companies to jump on iPhone bandwagon. Christie’s is certainly the company we consider as a member of that group, and they’re out with a brand new app in the AppStore .
