There’s no question that Motorola has needed a new hit cell phone for the last several years. The company, which is a pioneer in the cell phone market, had a string of high profiles failure that left it lagging behind the competition. Now they’re hoping that their new Droid phones will help get consumers back into buying their phones.
The Samsung SCH-W920 is the latest DMB phone from the Korean giant Samsung. Measuring 12.9mm thin and weighing at only 96grams, the 3G HSPDA phone supports Bluetooth, VOD and MOD, DMB TV, two digital cameras (300k and 3MP), TOEIC and TOEFL tests, an English dictionary, and a siren SOS alarm. The Samsung SCH-W920 is specially made for the Korean market.
Philips has released the first official photos including specs of its upcoming second Android Smartphone, the V808 . Specs-wise, the handset is equipped with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), music and video players, widget support, GPS, a 1000 mAh battery and supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity. Sadly, there’s no word on pricing and release date yet.
The Sony Ericsson UI is now available via KDDI network, which is actually the first BRAVIA handset from this network carrier. The handset adopts Sony Bravia Technology and Sony Blu-ray forwarding technology allowing you to enjoy Blu-ray movie on your phone by syncing it to a Blu-ray player. The Sony Ericsson U1 also has a 3-inch WVGA LCD display, a microSDHC card slot (up to 16GB), waterproof (IPX5/IPX7), a 5MP digital camera with Auto focus, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 1Seg TV.

Rumor has it that Sony Ericsson’s upcoming first Android smartphone ‘ Xperia X3 Rachael ‘ might be released in January next year. As mentioned earlier, this high-end smartphone will feature a 4-inch touchscreen display with 800 x 400 resolution, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8MP autofocus camera, a new customized user interface, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm headset jack.
